Wave interactions

Summary

The lesson examines wave propagation and wave behaviors, including reflection, refraction, and diffraction. Waves reflect or refract at boundaries in interactions that can result in changes to the wave direction, shape, speed, or wavelength. Waves also diffract, changing shape and direction as they “bend” around obstacles or pass through slits. You will use a ripple tank simulation to explore these interactions in an inquiry-based investigation.
